COSAWOH

Cooperation to Save the World and Humanity, abbreviated as COSAWOH, is a non-governmental organization operating in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo under operating authorization No. 01/074/CAB/GOUPRO-SK/2025, in accordance with Law No. 004/2001 of July 20, 2001 on nonprofit organizations. Its headquarters are located at Av. Rond Point Nguba No. 05, Nyalukemba District, Ibanda Municipality, City of Bukavu. COSAWOH is currently active in the 8 territories of South Kivu including Idjwi, Kalehe, Kabare, Walungu, Uvira, Shabunda, Fizi, and Mwenga.

In pursuit of its objectives, including:

Combat climate change

Promote agriculture, livestock, and food security.

Contribute to education, peace, and social cohesion.

Support women, youth, displaced persons, and refugees.

Promote digital inclusion and technology.

Improve access to health, water, hygiene, and sanitation.

Assist people facing vulnerability and malnutrition.

COSAWOH aligns itself with the national strategic plan and humanitarian standards to provide humanitarian response in various contexts within communities.

To fully achieve its mission of contributing to the improvement of ecological conditions of the planet and reducing the vulnerability of populations—particularly women, youth, and people facing emergency humanitarian situations—COSAWOH conducts actions in various sectors such as Environment, Protection (GBV, child protection, social justice), Education and Citizenship, Health and Nutrition, Water, Hygiene and Sanitation (WASH), Economic Recovery and Employability, Digitalization and Innovation.

Apart from the Congolese State, COSAWOH has benefited from a partnership with RDI, a nonprofit organization founded with the aim of reducing human suffering by supporting, empowering, and educating community members in countries where democracy, good governance, and human rights are or may be threatened.
